Lincoln Park Zoo Lincoln Park Zoo 2008-2014

I'm going to Lincoln Park Zoo tomorrow, and have a question about the aardvarks. How many does the zoo have and how likely is it to see them?

I am not sure how many they have but I think it is only one. I did not see an aardvark on my last visit so i do not know. If you really want to see an aardvark I would got to Brookfield Zoo because they have a new baby and every time I go I see an aardvarks (usually indoors). Also can you see if the jaguar is still at Lincoln Park zoo?

Thanks for the info. I was debating between going to Lincoln Park (never been there before) or Brookfield (been there twice, but they have the new baby aardvark and bison this year). I most likely may do Lincoln Park tomorrow, and see if I can get to Brookfield later this year. Also, I'll try to see if there's a jaguar still at Lincoln Park.

Unfortunately, I found that there's a storm coming in the middle of the day in Chicago. I'll see if I can try again a different day.

LPZ just got two male spotted hyenas, 14-year-old Phika and 3-year-old Kai, from the Denver Zoo. These are the first hyenas on permanent exhibit at the zoo since the 70's! From the video it appears they are in the old sun bear grotto which would make sense because it is right next the zoo's African exhibit. The link says Brookfield but it is at LPZ

Thanks for clearing that up. I was confused which zoo they were relocated.

This is really good news. I may have to make a trip to Chicago this summer. I know St Louis and Milwaukee keep them, but there aren't a lot of midwestern institutions with hyenas.
