Wellington Zoo Lion Cubs

In 2002 Wellington zoo received three young lioness' from the Auckland Zoo. they were born in August 2001 and were named Djane, Djembe and Zhara by Wellington Zoo.

After three years they were sent two young males Zulu and Malik. They said they planned to breed their lions as soon as the males were old enough, does anyone know if their have been any changes since then?

Wellington Zoo told me that they are still planning to do this , but felt that the male cubs are still too young ( as of May 2008 )
However I have had to learn the hard way not to accept everything that they say as gospel ..
