Chester Zoo Lion Cubs

O right I thought the first litter born at chester to jake and Chandani where 3 boys if thats the case and Rajah is Chandra I am missing one of the boys:

I currently have
Rajah
Candra
Subu

If they are the same lion who am i missing
 
Bellamy (m) was born at London Zoo in 1993. He went to Twycross before going to Rome in 2001 and dying there in 2007. He didn't have any cubs whilst in Rome.
 
No i ment in the litter that was born at chester zoo in 1994 was three boys:

If bellamy was born at London he cannot have been in the same litter as Subu and chandra.

The third male i had in the litter born at chester was rajah but if he is the same lion as chandra there must be another lion.
 
I think you need to ask Chester Zoo about this query, as we only have names for certain lions from certain litters. There is only limited info on the litters we know about, sexes etc. The remaining male from 1994 went to somewhere in Europe, and is most likely dead now anyway. Not all names of the lions born at Chester where publicised anyway.
 
Sorry should have added a quote there. You were asking about the cubs from London earlier so when I remembred him I just added his details to the thread for you.
 
Oh right lol no problem, jsut got comfussed. Do you know anything about the other brother if Chandra and Rajah are the same person.

I know nothing sorry :( (before my zoo time!) Again try e-mailing Chester Zoo or the studbook co-ordinator at Twycross. I'm sure either will be happy to help

The three male cubs born in 1996 went to the Netherlands in 1997. I don't know to which collections.
 
Only one of the 1996 boys went to the Netherlands and the collection was Rhenen Zoo in Holland.
 
Using the studbook we have now been able to trace all 14 cubs from Chandani and Jake.

Litter one
1994

Rajah (m) moved to Cotswold's Wp and later transfered to Bristol. He was renamed Chandra at Bristol. Moved to Cotswold's in 2008 after Subu died and still resides there today.

Subu (m) moved to Cotswold's Wp with Rajah. Died at Cwp in 2007.

Jade (f) Moved to Moscow Zoo and was still there as of 2006.


Litter two
May 1996

Asrok (m) moved to Rhenen Zoo (Holland) in 1997 with both his brothers. Left in June 2006 for Terra Natura in Benidorm. Died November 2006.

Rajesh (m) went with his brothers to Rhenen Zoo. Moved to Cologne in 1998 with a female from Zurich.

Chandra (m) went with his brother's to Rhenen Zoo. Moved to Plankendael in 1998 and is still there. Father to Chester's current male Iblis :)

Litter three
August 1997

Ashok (m) moved to London Zoo in 1998 with his two of his sisters. Moved to Chessington 1999 and is still there.

Gita (f) Moved with Kamlesh and Ashok to London. Later sent on to Chessington before going to Edinburgh in April 2003. Still at Edinburgh

Kamlesh (f) Moved to London with Gita and Ashok in 1998. Later went to Chessington before moving to Edinbugh in April 2003. Still at Edinburgh

Sarla (f) moved to Parken Zoo in Sweden in 1998. Still there


Litter four
October 1998

Asoka (m) stayed on at Chester until Febuary 2010 when he was moved to Rome Zoo.

Naseek (m) stayed on at Chester until 2003 when he was moved to Helsinki Zoo. Sadly he died in 2004.

Masala (f) moved to Santillana Zoo (Spain) in 2000. Still there although she has never bred.

The fifth litter was 0:1 but sadly the cub died not long after being born. After this Jake was moved to Boissiere in France and died in 2000.
