I know Carson Springs in Gainesville has Rusty Spotted Cat along with a few other rare/uncommon carnivoresHello again everyone! I really appreciate all your help in past trips of mine. I'll be in Florida for 9 days so does anyone have any suggestions for super rare mammals in captivity? Especially Moles, Shrews, Rodents or Bats.
I already have a tour set up with Lubee Bat Conservancy (Southeastern Myotis) and plan to visit Naples Zoo (just to go) on my way to The Everglades. Also Peace River Wildlife Center apparently has Northern Yellow Bat and Evening Bat so I'm looking into that.

I know I'm pretty late to this but I've never heard of Jungle Encounters in Ma, is it open to the public? If so I might need to check it out soon to see the Geoffroy's Cat.So I've found 18-19 places with Geoffroy's Cat (not sure if one is still alive). I'm planning on doing a thread for all felid species, just going through and double checking my work which will take a few more days, but here's what I've found:
-Amazing Animals, Florida
-Bridges for Brain Injury, NY
-Carson Springs Wildlife, FL
-Columbus Zoo, OH
-Conservator's Center, NC
-Cub Creek Science Camp, MO
-EFBC's Feline Conservation Center, CA
-Exotic Feline Rescue Center, IN (might have passed away, is quite old; was taken from someone trying to smuggle 2 into the country)
-Frank Buck Zoo, TX
-Great Cats World Park, OR
-Jungle Encounters, MA
-Little Ponderosa Zoo, TN
-Safari Zoo, KS
-Single Vision, FL
-Special Memories Zoo, WI (now closed)
-Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary, TX
-The Wild Animal Park, NY
-Wild Felid Advocacy Center, WA
-Xtreme Exotics, FL
I have confirmed all of these via organization websites, social media, and/or contacting them directly.

That’s unfortunate, maybe I can catch one of their showsThey do traveling shows, with their main focus being wildcats. They also run the Belize Wild Cat Project.

Spotted Knifejaw Oplegnathus punctatus - Newport Aquarium
They may not be rare, but are there any captive nine banded armadillos in and around the Michigan area?
Many thanks![]()
