2 pairs black legged (with this chick), and 2 female red legged.
It is worth noting that the Black-legged Kittiwake population at Living Coasts represents the Pacific race and not our native subspecies 
Visited yesterday for first time in a while:
• Eider ducklings very active.
• New shades (sails) over seals.
• All five Fur Seals together in main section but it looks increasingly an inadequate space. The second (tunnel) section was closed off and a road maintenance barrier on public side but there was a 'lost' Avocet in the vicinity!
• I do think they need a new attraction soon - sea otters would be a great draw but we've discussed the lack of availability.
• Guillemot & Kittiwake chicks seem to be doing well.

Think it would have to be the Spectacled - if memory serves me correctly they are down to a single King now.
That's a big shame, I thought there was a pair of Kings when I last visited in December, but I may well have been mistaken.
Still, a great species and a great achievement.

I thought Wild Planet Trust owned Paignton Zoo ?
Websites still link between the three. Would have thought if any changes in ownership and that, and the websites would have been changed before Leaflets. In fairness Paignton's leaflets only really mention Newquay and Living Coasts on the back of them.
Conversely, their website is still thoroughly dotted with mentions of being part of the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust - so I wouldn't jump to any conclusions as yet.
In any case, moving these posts into the Living Coasts thread rather than the Paignton one.

A new aviary next to the estuary has been built to house Reedlings (Bearded Tit). They are arriving from Newquay and the flight has been built with the same materials as Newquays display. The Kittiwake chick is now very active and spending a lot of time on the water.
