Those are great news.
4th Red-knobbed coot born at the Oceanografic. Despite this species being considered to be least concern of extinction globally, it's considered to be an endangered species in Spain.

New species at the Oceanografic, the Demoiselle crane (Anthropoides virgo). The individuals are two males and a female and arrived from Zoobotanico de Jerez.

Any clue on where they are being exhibited? I’d assume probably in the large lake for waterfowl or perhaps the aviary?
No idea, but that background seems like the waterfowl lakes.
Two female Zebra sharks (Stegostoma fasciatum) have arrived from Loro Parque to L'Oceanografic.
Intention to breed in future?
Yep! They mention that they'll release them to the tank where other adult zebra sharks are for breeding and socializing reasons once they grow a bit more.

Kairo the male beluga has died at Oceanografic. Current age estimates put him between 60 and 30 years old from what I’ve seen.

He will be missed, a pity I never got the chance to see him.

I visited Kairo on all of my visits to the aquarium, despite almost always being inactive he was a nice looking male (however it should be noted he’s the only adult male beluga I’ve ever seen). While I’m leaning towards him probably not being as old as they say he is, he was certainly long-lived and indeed will have his legacy pass on with Kylu. He indeed was also a whale with a really unique life, having been practically moved from one pole to the other (Russia to Argentina) and then having the honour to father the first belugas in Spain.
