Longleat Safari & Adventure Park Longleat Safari Park News 2019

Cheers Jed, you've really killed off my interest in Longleat now. ... i was going to say more, but I really hate the pollution of 'stricktly' in so many media fields

I haven't been since the arrival of the Koalas and wombats but have been considering a visit.

I was till yesterday episode the repetition is becoming a bore. Also the dumb questions. They could make them half an hour programs and much more enjoyable.

Ive noticed this trend over the last few series since the programme’s return: starts off well; drops off in the second week; picks up final week. Did they have to show Nico again?!?! (albeit briefly) And some of what Kate Humble says is cringeworthy (the “entire nation” rooting for the koalas for example).

I still enjoy the series, but maybe it’s time to bring back some elements from the original run - pieces on Longleat house and the staff for example would act as a good counterbalance.

Did anyone else notice today in animal park they only said hippos spot, what happened to Sonia?... and did you notice they skipped over the detail of how shouri died.

Given the amount of press attention around it as it happened around the same time as London lost their tigress they probably felt there was nothing more to add. Having spent time with the keepers on an experience there and having seen them when we visited in the days after her death I imagine they are still very much mourning her loss.

I’m guessing he hip mention was an oversize as they were both definitely there around 10 days ago and I believe on their Facebook page someone posted a photo of them both taken over the weekend x

I hate to say, but Animal Park has got a little boring. Kate Humble has turned into a giggling child.

***NB - I generally really like Kate Humble and a big admirer of her work, I suspect she is being directed***

The old days of Paul Heiney were way better and I agree, more interaction with the keepers and old news reels. It used to be gritty and “real”

They also seem to gloss over important issues and it would be nice to know how animals that have been moved on are doing??

Please BBC stop dumbing it down, it’s almost patronising (for kids, let alone adult viewers)

Sorry to be negative guys

There are only 2:0 Canadian Timber wolves left. Unsure which one has died

Love tonight's episode of Animal Park with Red the Amur Tiger attacking cars.
I remember years ago seeing one of their tigers take a lump out the rear spoiler of the car in front of me

From next week's Radio Times, for the final episode of Animal Park on 23 August:
"Kate learns why silverback gorilla Kesho sometimes displays such baffling behaviour. It's believed he's the only gorilla in the world with an extra female chromosome."
(It's only the prospect of seeing the gorillas that enables me to tolerate Kate Not So Humble's intensely irritating presenting style.)
