Is it possible to visit the offshow breeding area? I'm sure I read somewhere that is is open to the public sometimes, but I can't find any reference to this. Now I'm wondering if I imagined it.

Are you going Rob? Just be mindful that they no longer have any Spix's macaws on show, and on my last visit (2014) a few taxa were down to just one specimen, so you might want to get in touch in advance if there are some parrots you're keen to see.![]()
Two Tasmanian yellow-tailed black cockatoo are now a part of the Loro Parque family. The birth of these two hatchlings, which took place in early and late August, is an important event as it is the first record of this species breeding in Europe. It is certainly good news that we want to share with you about this Australian species that flies high in Tasmanian skies and amaze people with their showy black plumage with yellow details.
