I saw them last week. They were happily bobbing around in the seal exhibit with the harbor seals.
The snow leopard cubs born this May made it and are now on display

She began showing signs of declining health, including loss of appetite, difficulty moving, and kidney failure, and this morning the difficult decision was made to humanely euthanize her. Randa was born in 1969, and has been a member of the Los Angeles Zoo family since her arrival in 1974."
A sad loss, although one that has been in the making for quite some time and was expected to be imminent. She reached a ripe old age...
I’m interested to see what they do with the now-empty habitats, since the upcoming master plan renovations will likely demolish the enclosures sometime in the near future. Perhaps they will use them for surplus hoofstock in the meantime.
Very sad. I’m glad I got to see her this summer before she passed. She was a rhino celebrity.
