'Lost' frogs found after decades

It is exactly ONLY this kind of fundamental research that will produce results. It also shows us up again that we can never be(come) complacent in the fight against extinction(s).

'Big news' has finally been released. Three new species have been discovered in Colombia and the first phase of the search has now been extended to the end of this year:

Things are looking promising for this search, with several specimens mentioned in the blogs awaiting validation. What a great push for amphibians!

I would term it realistic that for a project to really have any meaningful time frame to come up with substantial results it will have to run a 3-5 year time frame.

First discoveries seem promising that of those species deemed EXT or EXW, at least some will be shown to continue to exist (along with perhaps new species being discovered or reclassified)! :D
