Is the Louisville Zoo still going to build a new elephant habitat mentioned in their 2016 master plan?
Hopefully. They do need a new complex, especially if they wish to continue breeding and expand their herd in the future.

On June 4th, the zoo announced that (0.0.28) black-footed ferrets have been born at the facility in 2022. On June 20th, the zoo announced that the black-footed ferrets that were born has been increased to (0.0.34).

Zoo representatives said the habitat will celebrate the wildlife and cultural heritages of Kentucky.
For the first time the zoo will feature large herds of bison and elk, flocks of turkeys and cranes, an “Upland South Safari” experience, a Rickhouse Hall restaurant for guests and catered evening events, paddle boats on the lake, local bourbonism and a bison encounter.

So the zoo is going to have to spin an educational graphic about how bourbon production impacts wildlife? And why they’re serving hard liquor around kids?
I've seen other zoos with wine before. One AZA accredited zoo is straight up named after a beer company. This isn't really new lol. A bit odd to highlight it, but not a danger to public safety.
