Red panda are returning to Louisville Zoo:

Their arrival has been teased on socials, with a photo of a red panda paw.

It will be the first time the zoo has held the species since the 1970’s.

New red panda:

Sundara is now on display in the former snowy owl exhibit near Wallaroo Walkabout. It's been renovated for its new inhabitant.
 
The naked mole rat enclosure was just renovated.

In the ANIMAL VIEWING SCHEDULE drop down menu on TODAY tab it says:
"Naked Mole Rats Visit the naked mole rats in their newly renovated habitat. ON EXHIBIT"


A macaw aviary is undergoing renovations.

The former Hyacinth macaw enclosure was the worst exhibit I have ever seen in an accredited zoo. It was a barren cage with one branch and no enrichment and the birds' food was being visited continuously by five very large brown rats. It made me think very poorly of the facility.

When I visited Louisville a few weeks ago, I saw a Hyacinth macaw in the Islands walk through aviary. I'm not sure if it's a temporary move, though.
