Congrats to Lowry Park and their TAPIR birth! I looked at the link for the Malayan TIGERs but all it had was generic information, nothing about where they came from. ;)

Well done Wilson, wondered when you would notice;)

Sorry for the confusion

According to ISIS there is only one Koala (on loan) left at Lowry Park Zoo. But on the new internet zoomap, Koalas are no longer listed/marked.
So does anybody know what it going on? Is the last specimen still on show, behind the scenes or is the loan period over and it is sent back where it came from?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

The koala habitat is being refurbished for better lighting and possibly an outdoor exhibit.

@BeardsleyZooFan: Thank you so much for your reply. Do you know when they will reopen the koala habitat?

The female Malayan Tapir calf is now on exhibit! Her name is Ulan, which means climber. She is on exhibit with her mother, Ubi, and rotates exhibit time with father, RJ.

That master plan looks very impressive. Too bad no drawings or design plans were provided though. Hope they come soon.

Agreed. This plan would have Lowry Park housing all 4 species of great apes (orangutans, chimps, gorillas, bonobos) and I really would like to see a brand new South American exhibit. I think that the Florida Boardwalk has actually been partially renovated, but I don't know what they really did to the boardwalk.
