Yes, I'm going down THIS alley for a "DLC"...or I suppose rather an expansion.

Zoo Tycoon: The Board Game - Animal Rescue

The main bulk of this expansion follows the brand new Animal Rescue Centre, that functions just like the Animal Exchange from the original game. There are three new event cards related to the rescue centre - Rainforest Rescue, Save the Savannah and Montane Forest Mission. When one of these cards is drawn, each player will have the option of rescuing a single animal species from that particular habitat. Just like the Animal Exchange, the Animal Rescue Centre is completely randomised.

The expansion features 24 brand new animals, eight for each habitat. Like the giant panda, they are exclusive to the zoo that obtains them, as each species can only be adopted once per game. In addition to the initial animal categories - primates, ungulates, carnivores and birds, two brand new types of animals are introduced - Rodents and Reptiles. Once adopted, they function like all other regular species.
