I'm going to limit this to exhibits I've seen, and I'm going to try my best to avoid duplicate species (at least for megafauna), and I'm also trying to balance the heavy hitting exhibits with some smaller gems. When necessary, I've made some slight adjustments to some exhibits to prevent duplicating too many species, whereas it is implied that aviary/terrarium line-ups could adjust slightly in accordance with a desire to reduce species-duplication.

Exhibits I am including are:
  • Congo Gorilla Forest- Bronx Zoo
  • ProMedica Museum of Natural History- Toledo Zoo
  • National Amphibian Conservation Center- Detroit Zoo
  • Polk Penguin Conservation Center- Detroit Zoo
  • Madagascar!- Bronx Zoo
  • Aviary- Toledo Zoo
  • Tundra Trek- Toronto Zoo
  • Mahajarah Jungle Trek- Disney's Animal Kingdom
  • Waterfowl Aviary- Central Park Zoo
  • Gelada Reserve- Bronx Zoo
  • Wood Bison Exhibit- Toronto Zoo
  • RainForest- Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
  • Marco Polo Adventure Trek- Roger Williams Park Zoo
  • Zoo Center- Bronx Zoo
  • Red Panda Forest- Detroit Zoo
  • African Elephant Crossing- Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
General Layout: Upon entering the zoo, visitors are surrounded by seven, large buildings, arranged around a central plaza. This arrangement will allow for pleasant winter visits, as visitors can see much of the zoo's collection without substantial walking. The first of these seven buildings on the right is Madagascar!, which provides an impressive first impression and highlights the fascinating wildlife found on this island. Next to Madagascar! is the zoo's National Amphibian Conservation Center, which provides an in-depth look at this often overlooked animals. Following the amphibians is the newest of the zoo's buildings, the immersive Polk Penguin Conservation Center, allowing visitors to experience a journey to the Antarctic, and an up-close experience with these incredible birds. In the back of the plaza, and anchoring the plaza, is the Zoo Center building, which houses an impressive collection of monitor lizards on the inside, while the outside contains some respectable yards for the zoo's white rhinos. Heading around the opposite side of the plaza, opposite the Penguin Conservation Center, the impressive and immersive Rain Forest, home to a wide variety of rainforest species from around the world, including Bornean orangutans, Francois' langurs, clouded leopards, and giant anteaters. Next to that is the zoo's Aviary building, which houses a wide variety of bird species inside a series of traditional and walk-through aviaries (a few non-avian surprises are also present here). The final building, opposite Madagascar, is the ProMedica Museum of Natural History. This impressive building contains a wide variety of displays, dedicated to the diversity of life on Earth including poison dart frogs, venomous snakes, and arthropods. While Toledo's version contains a Komodo dragon exhibit, they will be replaced in this version with a pair of large displays for Gila monsters and beaded lizards, due to the species already being present in Zoo Center.

Outside this central plaza, a series of paths take visitors on a journey to the outdoor sections of the zoo. Starting behind Madagascar!, visitors first reach an impressive habitat for an underrepresented African biome, the Ethiopian Highlands. The Gelada Reserve is a massive mixed-species habitat home to three fascinating mammal species from the Ethiopian Highlands, including the namesake gelada baboons. Continuing through Africa, visitors reach the African Elephant Crossing, which is anchored by a pair of innovative, large habitats for these incredible large animals. Past the elephants, visitors can enter a denser forest, as the third African exhibit on this path is the Congo Gorilla Forest, a truly breath-taking experience seeing gorillas, okapis, mandrills, and more in incredibly naturalistic habitats.

Following behind the Museum of Natural History, visitors pass through a trail with more species that are accessible year-round. First up is a very large Waterfowl Aviary, with a number of rare species housed in a spacious area with plenty of space to fly or swim. Upon exiting the aviary, visitors can take in the breathtaking experience of one of the zoo's largest exhibits, home to a large herd of wood bison. Past the bison, the Tundra Trek contains spacious, immersive habitats for polar bears, Arctic wolves, and caribou. Ending this trail is a series of three exhibits dedicated to wildlife from Asia. The first two are much more year-round experiences, as the Red Panda Forest allows visitors the opportunity to marvel at these incredible, endangered animals as they climb high up in the trees, while snow leopards, Asiatic black bears, Sichuan takin, and more can be found on the Marco Polo Adventure Trek, which allows visitors to experience the wildlife which Marco Polo would've encountered on his journey (Note: I am excluding the currently under construction red panda exhibit since Red Panda Forest displays them more prominently). Lastly, visitors reach the depths of the Asian tropics, with the Mahajarah Jungle Trek, home to impressive exhibits for Sumatran tigers, Malayan flying foxes, lion-tailed macaques, white-cheeked gibbons, free-flying birds, and more. If possible, I'd love to see Eld's deer return to this exhibit as part of this plan, whereas the Komodo dragons will be replaced with the return of Malayan tapirs due to the Zoo Center housing the species more prominently.
