Malagasy animal species in zoos

Re: fake Phromnia - even more interesting would be fake Phromnia larvae - they look like strange white flowers or tentacled things and are regular feature of Madagascar forests.
 
Well, many fulgoromorph nymphs (hemipterans are hemimetabolous and hence there is no larvae for them) have these waxy thread secretion and some species even retain them as adults. I guess they wold be much easier to replicate, just with some cotton strings attached to a point.
