Does anyone know how many malayan tigers are in Asia, and how many zoos have them?
Tambun has Siberian Tigers, not Malayan Tigers.
I went there 3 times this summer, but it was the same female on exhibit.
I believe Taiping has at least 4, with 1 on exhibit.
Oh, thanks!Tambun also have Siberian but these two males are Malayan tigers. They are cooperating with Perhilitan (Wildlife Department of Malaysia) which controls NWRC and MTCC.
Taiping had brother and sister Puntum and Teja and they recieved male Hebat and female Lara from Zoo Negara. Lara went to NWRC on a treatment and she will stay there, and Puntum went in beginning of October there also for breeding.
Social media of these zoos and parks often makes mistakes for example A'Famosa safari park is calling Jay a Bengal tiger but he actually came from NWRC to the park.
Arhaa came to Taipei Zoo on 25th of July to breed with female Shima.Serikin from Taipei zoo came to Singapore to breed with Sali or Arhaa. One of the boys from Singapore is allegedly going to Taipei zoo to breed with other female Shima.
