I suspect what the TAG would say is that there are only enough spaces for Langurs to maintain one species, and the preferred species, probably for conservation reasons, is the Francois' Langur.

Not stupid at all. Many current members are quite small. As far as I can tell there are about 54 members currently. The best place to find a list appears to be here:

Lion tailed Macaque is well represented in both European and North American zoos. Some places even have them on contraceptives nowadays to prevent placement problems from unwanted breeding.

Breeding in European zoos is fine, I am not too sure on the long term for SSP/US zoos ... Clarification there from our US/Canada posters would be called for.

As for the native region, India ..., they would certainly require new blood and welcome any surplus from other regions. The programme has just been reinstated, but other than Arrigna Anna ZP, those at most other zoos are old or kept singly .... Plenty of room, alternative options when animal husbandry and exhibit design are properly cared for (even in that respect SSP/EEP and ARAZPA regions could help ... advise ... et cetera et cetera).
