I wouldn't fret too much. Lots of talk of species arriving on the horizon
I'll believe THAT when they actually arrive! It's a bit like " You do actually have dinosaurs on your dinosaur tour?" (sic)

Working in the industry, you hear the plans for other collections regularly. I would be happy if I was a frequent visitor to the collection
Eland and Banteng are species due in along with a few others,Sable Antelope are due to leave Marwell.I'll believe THAT when they actually arrive! It's a bit like " You do actually have dinosaurs on your dinosaur tour?" (sic)
Congo Buffalo and warthog are others that left recently. Why do they appear to switch species like this?Eland and Banteng are species due in along with a few others,Sable Antelope are due to leave Marwell.
I am not sure Squirrel Monkey have only been back a couple of years and now they have gone.Warthog first came to Marwell in 1999,Congo Buffalo have been round a lot longer, they have only four Sable left now not sure if Woburn still have any, never a common species in UK, in the past have seen them be it a long time ago at Paignton,Chester,Port Lympne.Congo Buffalo and warthog are others that left recently. To partially answer my own question, sometimes when a species dwindles to low numbers, the remaining holders consolidate their stock together at just one or more locations to try and revive it. Maybe this applies to the species that recently left Marwell.I am not sure Squirrel Monkey have only been back a couple of years and now they have gone.Warthog first came to Marwell in 1999,Congo Buffalo have been round a lot longer, they have only four Sable left now not sure if Woburn still have any, never a common species in UK, in the past have seen them be it a long time ago at Paignton,Chester,Port Lympne.
