I only knew the answers to six of the 14 questions (but then, I've never claimed to be an expert on Chester Zoo)

That's only 3 less than the woman who was on the show!
Which questions did you get right Chlidonias?

The answer to number three is Miss Catherine Jane Tomkyns-Grafton. There used to be a plaque with her name on it at the polar bear enclosure (Europe on the Edge), I don't know if it is still there.
I think it is removed when I occasionally visited there and I didn't see the plaque since the rebuilding of Europe on the Edge.
I think it would be negligent of the zoo. If they have removed this plaque!
Most of the answers are found in the book "zoo without bars". Mastermind researchers seem a little lazy.
I have looked for the book "Zoo without bars" everywhere, but it was out of print. I wonder if anyone know the book is available to buy? Last time, I enjoyed reading the book 25 years ago which it was in the library at Wilmslow, Cheshire!

They do seem ridiculously simple questions overall if Chester Zoo is a chosen area of 'expertise'
The lady contestant obviously didn't think so. Obviously she hadn't read her 'Zoo without Bars' thoroughly enough..I haven't seen a copy of that book for very many years now. Did it have 'Noelle' the female gorilla on the cover?

that's probably the one I've got too. The Carousel edition from 1974. On the back is a photo of an elephant stretching over a moat.gentle lemur said:My paperback copy has mother and baby chimps on the cover.
