Melbourne Zoo Melbourne Zoo Animal Signage

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has pictures of the old Emery Vincent animal signage - the ones that were previously used at Melbourne Zoo, and if you could post them on this thread, it would be very much appreciated. I'm putting together a personal project to highlight the animal collection Melbourne Zoo once had throughout the 2000s and the early 2010s. Attached is an image of the signage I'm looking for, found in the media gallery for Melbourne Zoo.

Thanks to those, in advance, that send through any in this thread.

I fondly remember that signage but unfortunately do not have any pics of any of them. It's a real shame Melbourne got rid of them.

Searching through the internet would probably be your best bet, but some other members may have photos they may be able to provide.

I found this one after a quick search on google:

Thanks for the recommendation. I've had a look online and it's given me a handful of them but unfortunately not enough.

You may know this, but there are a bunch in this Flickr album (which I think is where the Plains Zebra/Giraffe one above comes from:

Thanks for sharing this link to the old photos. It was fascinating to see old photos of elephants (Kulab looks tiny!) and a young Malu.

I really like the signage for the tiger cubs (born 2010) that would have helped visitors ID which cub they were looking at. They have similar boards for their elephants, gorillas and lions.

Photos from my visits:

Here are two more I snapped a week ago when I was back in Melbourne.

These are the only 2 signs of this vintage I saw still at the zoo, except for a couple of "No Entry / Restricted Area" on the Gorilla forest trail. The old elephant path was blocked off (installation of the dinosaurs), and I never made it to the rear of the baboons / north most path of the zoo, so I'm not sure if there are any still down there.
