I also like how they've repurposed the exhibit for him. It looks really well designed and him having access to an indoor exhibit alongside an outdoor one would be very beneficial come winter time too.

Growing Wild also finally has a species that makes visiting the precinct worthwhile!
@Jambo

100%, finally really worth visiting that section of the zoo lol

Growing Wild being worth a visit was not a sentence I was expecting to type as of a few days ago, but that’s certainly the case now.

Following on from Growing Wild being a place to see juvenile Slender-tailed meerkats and Aldabra tortoise in recent years (the latter now housed opposite the reptile house), Growing Wild will now be the place to observe the maturation of a Komodo dragon from a juvenile into adulthood, a unique experience for most Australians given this is the first clutch in the region.

I am confused (being half way around the world I can't go see him) but is he actually in Growing Wild?
From people saying so i had assumed he was in the reptile building in the middle of Growing Wild, but from footage I have seen of his arrival and the map, he appears to be on located on the path that runs between Growing Wild and the Carousel. Is this right? and does that constitute as part of Growing Wild? or am I missing something? :)

It was reported that Kahn is on display in the previously
vacant exhibit by Keeper Kids. I have always considered Keeper Kids part of Growing Wild given Growing Wild is by definition a kid’s precinct.

He also features under Growing Wild on the zoo’s website:

Come and meet Kahn, the first Komodo Dragon to be bred in Australia. They're the world's largest lizards, growing up to three metres in length and weighing over 70 kilograms. With fewer than 1,400 Komodo Dragons remaining in the wild, they are classified as endangered due to habitat loss, climate change, and human activities.

He's in the former Squirrel Monkey/Cotton Top Tamarin enclosure that can be viewed both in the Keeper Kids building (via the indoor area of the enclosure) and along the path heading along the back of the carousel (via the outdoor portion of his enclosure).
