**MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!**

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

Not sure if it's the wine or the TV but I've just seen David Attenborough talking to Dodos....:p

Merry Christmas to the Zoochatters who celebrate this holiday and Happy Friday to those who don't!

Phoenix is a balmy 58 degrees with some clouds.

This is a crazy winter. It is colder in Tucson than it is in New England!

Don't worry, we are scheduled to get hammered next month. That reminds me, I need a new shovel.

But today I went horse riding. A trail ride. Merry Christmas and a happy Friday to those who don't celebrate it. And a happy Boxing day to those who celebrate it.

I just watched the film Love Actually and there are 3 lobsters and a whale in the school nativity play scene.

And an octopus.

:p

Why don't we celebrate Christmas for two weeks straight like they used to? Well, twelve days actually. Have we lost our stamina or something? Also, shouldn't we celebrate it again on the sixth of January just to be safe?

Next year we ought to just have a thread on the contents of our nativity scenes, assuming we have them.

I guess dispensable savings are a major limiting factor. With the universally growing tradition of celebrating Christmas on the 25th December, members of the Orthodox churches will often celebrate Christmas twice; the Greek Orthodox church celebrate Christmas on the 1st January. My family and I also celebrate Christmas on the 7th January (but without presents).
