On May 20th, the zoo announced they acquired a (1.0) Prevost's squirrel named Kemiri, which is on display in the Discovery Center's crested wood partridge exhibit.
On June 14th, the zoo announced that (2.0) eastern black-and-white colobus monkeys, named Onyx and Bixby, were born on December 26th, 2024, and April 5th, 2025, respectively, and both are now on exhibit.
Recently, the zoo publicly announced the passing of 59-year old (0.1) Berta the Mueller’s Grey Gibbon from a combination of age-related natural causes and a rapid decline in health.
On September 18th, the zoo announced that a (0.1f) Reeve's muntjac named Pheobe was born, which is on display in Asia. This is the first time in ~20 years that Mesker Park successfully bred the species.
