I used to be on another forum, and the site admins installed a 'bot' without telling anyone. We would post on a thread, and the 'bot' would reply in about 1 second, with a post that was 50% intelligible - it made enough sense for us to think that maybe they were a child or English wasn't their first language, yet weird enough to question if it was all a prank. (The admins came clean a day later.) Anyway, this thread reminded me of that.
