I ended up snapping up a handful of rare Japanese figures the last two weeks, many of which to my surprise are fairly old! Most of these launched in the 2000's and subsequently retired many years ago.

Not in habitat, but very pleased to have finally completed the main set of Yujin's Primary Color Saltwater Fish book 1, after several years and a pretty penny I finally managed to get ahold of them all plus one of the bonus figures. (Also includes a cameo from Kaiyodo's Squareback Anthias)

A correct assumption, CollectA themselves list it as Common Cuttlefish on their website. I have this figure as well and agree it is quite excellent! They really went all out on the details.

I recently got this guy as well, and was pleasantly surprised after a few disappointments with Schleich's recent offerings. Nice to see the Indriidae getting some proper representation.

While not in my current possession, I recently came across this series of animal figurines (made by Toymany). Which, from what I’m seeing, has a pretty solid roster of Malagasy fauna.

This appears to be a new release reveal, and a very interesting one it is! Toymany is a relative newcomer on the scene that has a fair few unusual species in their lineup already. If this is the route the brand is taking they certainly have my attention!

Ordered that as soon as it was announced! Slightly disappointed there's no aye-aye but otherwise a fantastic selection, especially the fossa, tenrec and sifaka.

As stated in the Japan subforum, I'm going to be in Tokyo this November. Any recommendations where to look for nice or even great animal figurines (Kaiyodo, Colorata etc) there? I found these suggestions that I will definitely check out, but if you happen to know other local options, then please let me know. Thanks in advance!

The aquatic-themed Colorata box sets seem to be readily available in aquarium gift shops - I believe I saw a few different ones offered at Tokyo Sea Life Park.
