Minnesota Zoo Minnesota Zoo News 2022

Cool, but annoying for anyone who wants to see monk seals.

Ola should still be visible from the behind the scenes tanks behind the main exhibit, although It wouldn’t be the greatest view:(.
I read the article as saying that Ola would still be in the main enclosure on some days but I agree with birdsandbats. Ola's time in that enclosure might be random or even when the zoo is closed.

Visited The zoo yesterday, although there weren't many super important updates this time.

. The Rhinoceros Hornbills were off exhibit for breeding purposes, so the zoo's Red legged Seriama has been temporarily placed in the Hornbill Aviary.

. The part of the Treetops Trail closest to the entrance seems to be almost complete.

. Mountain Bamboo Partridges were removed from the Bali Mynah Aviary.

As for the situation with the Dolphin/Monk Seal rotation, the Dolphins were on exhibit for almost the entire day, but I was able to get a brief glimpse of Ola from the top of the Ampitheater. It is disappointing that Ola isn't always visible, but I understand prioritizing the Dolphins, as they are only here for a limited time, and the zoo gets extra money from the Dolphin Show Tickets.
