Mixed species exhibit ideas

1. You could do Reeves’s muntjacs or chitals in combination with the Indian rhinos.
2. A mix of Indian gaurs, Indian antelope and barasingha deer could be a possibility. Maybe also nilgais, but not sure about those.
3. You could do fishing cats or clouded leopards, or yellow-throated martens.

1: What would you recommend I mix Greater One Horned Rhino with, the enclosure would be temperate as a pose to tropical, and I’m looking for something small and skinny so as to contrast with the rhino.

Indian rhinos mix surprisingly well, and can be mixed with deer, small antelopes, large antelopes and pigs. Blackbuck or hog deer could be good options

2: The centrepiece of one particular exhibit is a large mixed Asian Grassland. Obviously without Indian Rhinos, and also in a temperate style, what hoofstook or anything else could I include.

Burmese brow-antlered deer, Axis deer, Domestic water buffalo, Nilgai, Blackbuck, Reeves's muntjac and primates like Northern plains grey langur and Rhesus macaque

3:A small animal (preferably a mammal) that could be in front of this savannah, similar to the porcupine and African savannah set up at Chester.

Red panda, Raccoon dog, Small-clawed otter, Binturong, Indian crested porcupine... Plenty of options here

I’m in the midst of starting a new zoo set in Northern Italy, but before I get started, there are a few ideas I need to build on that come in the form of mixed species exhibits.

The rhinos could be mixed with Blackbuck and Common Hog Deer, maybe Nilgai as well. Those three species would also work for the savanna display.

Would a mix of a herd of elk (wapiti) (5-6, non-breeding) work with 2 coyotes in a large enclosure? This is mainly inspired by the mix of bison and coyote at sainte-croix.

Like MOG says, I should keep the peafowls separated. The gibbons and langurs together is a good mix, but you should give them enough space.

Would a large, possibly red-lit African nocturnal enclosure with these work? If not, what species could work. - Straw-colored fruit bats, aardvark, mohol bushbabies, bat-eared foxes, cape porcupines, spotted Dikkop, and possibly southern white-faced owl

What about a large red-lit American wetlands nocturnal enclosure (what species would work best) with these; North American beaver, fish, black-crowned night heron and turtles (what species of fish and turtles)?
Similar concept but for the Amazon with boat-billed heron, douroucouli, sunbittern, Seba’s short-tailed bat, fish, turtles and maybe kinkajou.
Madagascar version: aye-aye, Madagascar buttonquail, Rodrigues flying Fox, grey mouse lemur, Madagascar sacred ibis, and leaf-tailed geckoes

Of the following, I would exclude the birds and geckos, and only maintain the mammals. Case in point, the diurnal habits of the ibis and buttonquail; in addition to the occasional risk of predation (from the mouse lemurs) regarding the geckos.

So would these lineups work?
Africa: Bat-eared Fox, aardvark, mohol bushbaby, straw-colored fruit bat, rock hyrax, cape porcupine and spotted Dikkop
North American wetlands: American beaver, Virginia opossum, black-crowned night heron, brown bullhead, bluegill, largemouth bass and smallmouth bass
Amazon: Seba’s short-tailed bat, Nancy Mae’s night monkey, southern tamandua, sunbittern, boat-billed heron, River turtles, silver dollars, banded leporinus, tambaqui, bronze corydoras, and sailfin pleco
Madagascar: Lesser hedgehog tenrec, aye-aye, Rodrigues flying Fox and grey mouse lemur.

if not, what should be removed and what species (realistic) can be added

@MOG2012, based on both casual observation and quick research; this is how I would divide the following:

Grey Mouse Lemur x Tenrec

Aye-Aye x Flying Fox - (an irl version with Straw-Colored Fruit Bats exist/existed in Omaha)

Sunbittern x Boat-Billed Heron x Turtles x South American Fish

Night Monkeys, Tamandua, and Bats are all maintained in separate, single-species areas

Beaver x North American Fish

Opossums and Night Herons are maintained separately

Aardvark x Straw-Colored Fruit Bat x Bushbaby - (similar to Cincinnati; albeit, with smaller bats and primates)

Cape Porcupine x Bat-Eared Fox - (an irl version exists at ZooWorld Panama City Beach in Florida)

Finally, both Hyraxes and Dikkops are mixed with different species in separate enclosures.

I was hoping to have large, indoor galleries that have many species (like diurnal mixed species) so what would work for that? For example, I know beaver and night heron are compatible
