Mixed species exhibit ideas

Depending on the space given, I’d say it should work. As said before however plenty of other species to spice it up are advised.

Perhaps although I'm not sure if it would be the most interesting exhibit. May want to be careful as I know from experience turkeys can get aggressive and they can give a nasty peck.
Domestic Turkey hens of different varieties could be attractive in a walkthrough. I wouldn’t put a male Turkey in a walkthrough.

Would cohabbing Alligator Gar and American Alligator work? If not would Alligator Gar and Alligator Snapping Turtle work?

I think gar and snapping turtle should be fine, as snapping turtles are fairly sedentary and unlikely to attack the active gar, while the gar shouldn't be able to crack the turtle's shell. The american alligator feels a bit risky though.

Would a mix of Yellow Boxfish, Longhorn Cowfish, Spotted Boxfish, Striped Boxfish and Hovercraft Boxfish work, or would it just a pahutoxin time bomb? The tank would be on it's own system running activated carbon constantly.

Seems like housing all those boxfish together should work in terms of temperment and that all of them should be peaceful given enough space... BUT there are mixed reports on whether they will kill everything in their tank upon death (there are conflicting reports, some say that nothing happened to the other inhabitants and others say that as soon as the boxfish dies everything else dies, and boxfish are not immune to the toxins of other boxfish). The nuking of tanks by boxfish seems to be very rare upon death unless the boxfish is stressed, but I wouldn't risk it with such expensive fish.

Yeah, that's what I meant by pahutoxin time bomb. The inconsistency of whether the other fish die likely has something to do with the size of the tank (more water dilutes the toxin) and whether or not they were running activated carbon (absorbs the toxin, removing it from the water). So for the boxfish tank I'd probably have it attached to a fairly large sump behind the scenes, and run activated carbon to avoid a tank nuke.
