Sounds strange, they don't live in the same habitats.

Jacana : inner wetlands, swamps
Thick-knee : semi deserts

I know the habitat of the Inca Tern and the Jacana.
For the Thick-knee I know the habitats of very close species that live in all the other continents (Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia).

Just look up “ species range” and it should show up.

This is the fantasy zoo forum so you don’t have to include species that exist in alrighty, but for this specific example great it is recommended that you use species kept in captivity.

Little Egret are native to the old world only (apart from the occasional vagrant) so they would not fit in a South American setting. Cattle Egret would definitely work instead.
