Mixed species exhibit ideas

The combination of tapirs and capybaras with birds I think would be possible - and nice to see - but I am very sceptical about mixing the larger predatory birds like the herons (and to a lesser extent the ibis and cormorants) with the smaller birds. I would go with either the larger bird species or with the smaller species.

Just curious to know why duiker work? A lot of people say that that are very aggressive with other animals.

Ringed teals are fine, these are held with herons often. I think the main concerns were the finches
The adults would probably be okay, but breeding would probably not work out.
The AZA Ungulate TAGs Mixed-Species Manual has examples where mixed with duikers and larger antelopes have worked and have not worked. It seems yellow-backed duikers are more often aggressive than the smaller species. And it also seems to some extent to depend on individual animals.
But generally I think duikers and larger animals like bongo or okapi is a mix worth trying.

The parrots have to stay in their winter quarters until the end of May so that the plants and leaves can grow better.
Would a breeding herd of bison, a nonbreeding herd of elk and a group of bighorn sheep play nicely in a 5800 m^2 enclosure? I know there's precedent with the Free Roaming area at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, but that space is significantly larger than this space, at 435 acres.

I don't know whether bison, bighorn sheep and elk get along, but this combination should be treated with caution because of bovine malignant catarrhic fever, because sheep are considered carriers and cattle and deer are considered recipients (if I understood the Wikipedia article correctly).
This all comes down to the scientifically precise "maybe, depends"
-depends on the individuals involved
-depends on the numbers of each species stocked
-depends on design
I would think it has a greater than not chance if there was something like
1.3 bison
0. 3 elk
0-1.3 sheep
with some sort of modest artificial rocky hill that acted as a sight buffer
OTOH I would personally consider that a much larger herd of any one of those species might not
be a better exhibit , given its only an acre an a half.
Bateleur eagles are an aggressive species that hunt a wide variety of prey-including birds.
I would say the answer is yes -till the eagles kill/severely injure the cranes.
Can gorillas and mandrills be mixed together? Maybe with blue monkeys too - the precedent I'm going off of is gorillas being mixed with drills and other monkeys successfully.

Would a combination of Tataupa tinamou, Red-footed tortoise and Twist-necked turtle work in a medium-sized tropical habitat?
