A while ago I started work on the Zoo Tycoon 2 mod Shoehorned Dillo Remakes. Some mods have remade a good deal of the game's roster of 125 or so animals - though I created a mod a whilst back for some of the animals that had not yet received remakes. I look forward to your opinions. Some of these animals have been updated since release - others have not been released.

Barren-ground Caribou - Rangifer tarandus groendlandicus // Rangifer arcticus arcticus
Found in much of Alaska. This race of caribou has the second-largest antlers amongst the caribou [only the woodland caribou has larger], and the largest antlers relative to its body size. Its antlers are assymetrical.

Baird's Tapir - Tapirus bairdii
Found as far north as central Mexico, as far south as western Ecuador. Of the tapirs, this species is smaller only than the Malayan Tapir. It is a dark-coloured stocky animal with bright underbelly and head.

Southern Caracal - Caracal caracal caracal
Found throughout much of Africa. It is paler than its desert relatives, but is overall indentical, to roughly speak.

African Painted Dog - Lycaon pictus
Found in limited areas of Africa, with the largest population in Botswana. Overall patterning varies greatly on individuals, but as a rule contains areas of white, brown, and black. The tail is streaked white. It has longer legs than other dogs.

Ethiopian Wolf - Canis simensis
Found only in Ethiopia - with most in the Bale Mountains of the south-east area of the country. Probably most closely related to the African Golden Jackal. A typical build for a dog, it has a reddish-brown colour streaked by white fur in places.
Big-headed African Mole-rat - Tachyoryctes macrocephalus
Found only in a small montainous region of Ethiopia in the Bale Mountains, at altitudes exceeding 4000 metres. Unlike other mole-rats, its head is especially bulbous. It only occasionally surfaces for purposes of finding food - but does so commonly enough for it to be an essential food-source of the Ethiopian Wolf.

Southern White Rhinoceros - Ceratotherium sinum sinum
Two subspecies of white rhinoceros exist - though where only two Northern White Rhinoceros exist, some 16,000 Southern White Rhinoceros exist. This subspecies is found mainly in South Africa, but has lived naturally as far north as Mozambique. It has also been naturalised in Kenya.

Javan Rhinoceros - Rhinoceros sondaicus
Found only in the Ujung Kulon National Park in Java. It is smaller than the Indian Rhinoceros, and it is believed just over 70 exist today.

Eastern Timber Wolf - Canis lupus lycaon [Canis rufus lycaon? / Canis lycaon?]
Of debated taxonomy, this canine is found in North America, in the United States only in the northern states of Michigan and Winsconsin - mainly in Canada.
I will upload some more when I have time to see what you think.
