Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens Monsoon Asia and other major renovations coming soon

I agree that it is highly unlikely they get Philippine Eagle (in a totally different league than getting Harpy or Steller's sea eagle) but I don't think it is as totally impossible like some here say. The Philippine Eagle Foundation is the only place where it is managed seriously and the only that have several. The very few other in captivity are singles or pairs and not managed professionally like one kept under bad conditions in Manila zoo when I was there.

Philippine Eagle Foundation Official Website. Now they have 36 Philippine Eagles and half of those have been bred at the center. If Jacksonville zoo make a top facility for the eagle and is willing to seriously commit ($$$. Probably not as much as a Panda but still BIG money) to Philippine conservation I don't think it is entirely impossible that they could get one or two on loan. Would require a lot of work on their side and like said in first sentence it is very unlikely. I just don't think impossible. We'll see how serious Jacksonville zoo are about the Philippine Eagle and how much they are willing to do for it.
