On May 16, the Montreal biodome acquired 6.6 chinstrap penguins from Seaworld San Antonio. They are in the Sub-Antartic ecosystem exhibit. There is a total of 173 individuals in 8 facilities in the AZA. I visited Montreal Biodome on May 14, I think I saw them. I am going to check my photos.

I indeed saw them on May 14. I did saw around 3 individuals. They were introduced maybe before May 14. They are a very cool species. I will try to post in the Montreal Biodome gallery in the next few days

On February 7th, the biodome announced they acquired 2+ Panamanian golden frogs from the Vancouver Aquarium in British Columbia. The frogs later successfully bred.

On June 13th, the biodome announced they acquired a blue-billed curassow from the Nashville Zoo in Tennessee which is on exhibit.

On August 1st, the biodome announced that 2 turquoise tanagers hatched in late April and late May respectively, and are on display. The biodome also announced they acquired a (0.1) turquoise tanager from the Denver Zoo in Colorado in November 2023.

On September 27th, the biodome announced they raised and released 2,607 western chorus frog tadpoles into the wild.

On September 20th, the biodome announced that a skate hatched (though they do not specify whether it is a little skate or a winter skate) which is the first for Montreal Biodome since 2019.

On March 16th, the biodome announced that a king penguin hatched on January 24th which is now on exhibit.
