Even after the Sixth Modification, and the Ainsworth Amendment, it still would have been legal - I'm on holidays in Niue at present.

I owned a Trellis once.
 
I wasn't going to play this move as i thought it was just an amateur game, but going by the last 2 moves I can see we have some serious players onthe board.

I invoke the first step in a rainbow colour block with Bethnal Green.

I appreciate that these are generally played in the order of the rainbow but as we all know that doesnt have to be the case if attempting to block a double play (as laid down by Hix).

Having retired from the game, I am only kibbitzing now (to use the bridge term), but I feel that I ought to remind competitors that as this game is played by the classical rules, the Hanger Lane Gyratory diagonal offside rule does not apply.
I trust that this will clarify things for all the players.

Aside - by London standards, the Zoo is miles from a Tube! You've got a choice of about four stations. If I'm going by Tube I usually go to Regent's Park as it's got the nicest walk to the zoo. Quite, often though, I just walk - if I'm coming from home I arrive in London at St Pancras, which isn't far. In fact, one of the walking routes you can take goes right past the mythical station whose initials are M.C.!

That's irrelevant here, of course, as Stovold's Protocol prevents me from moving straight to Mornington Crescent on this move. I shall have to perform a rather clumsy shunt to:

Unfortunately the rushton limitation (paragraph 4 - revised edition) prevents me from playing the Slough joker here. Pesky thing! So I've had to scratch my head and decided to play Burnt Oak.

Risky I know, but sometimes you have to play your drumble early.

Wapping

I've always liked that name - so many possibilities.
 
Anyone who's ever Wapped knows that once you start there's no going back.

And it's a great move for me, because I can make one of my favourite moves:

Which, as all keen players know, spelled backwards reads 'Krapy Rub Snif'.
 
I was once on the end of a good Wapping, made me the man I am today.


Finsbury Park move has so opened up my scoring move of Hillingdon

Hillingdon anagram is Gillinodhn. A good northeast vangate spot to keep an eye on you all too.

So, we're playing the Cyril Modifications. In that case I'm going to go very lateral and play:

Tnevoc Nedrag

Which is, as well as a tube station backwards, is also the name of an industrial city on the Klingon home world, Q'onoS.
 
Ok, a good forward diagonal reverse cross is my answer to that bugbear! I play Colindale.

It has particularly good value car parking, especially compared to east finchley.
