Mornington Crescent

As it's the 18th August i can play a static (double point) leap with a Colindale repeat, as it opened on this day. It's a shame it's not 2012 as it would also qualify for bonus bounces.

Did you remember to subtract the hour to turn British Summer Time into GMT? I think it's only 50% extra points - but it's still a clever move.

I'm going to play a rearguard defense and land on

St Johns Wood

That sounds very smutty to me. But then, I'm Australian.

Time to spring a inverted Chippenham manoeuvre, methinks.

Bromley-by-Bow

Oh shoot! No I didn't!! Now I won't be able to play that again till clocks change! Curses to the BST Amendment 1982!!!

I'm going to play Wembley Park It's been a while since I checked, but I'm pretty sure this should block any 417's some ofight be thinking of playing after zoogiraffe's nonchalant curve ball!!

Well, with Westminster and Wembley Park in play, I'm only left with:

Shepherds Bush

(which, in my mind, was the cause of St Johns Wood)

:p

Having observed the condition of play a few days ago, I realised there was zilch I could do until at least mid morning of the 25th August 2011. Now we are past 11am, I think I can not only safely play, but get a triple score by hitting out with Bromley-by-Bow. This of course moves play back towards a more central location.

Balham
"Gateway to the South"

Balham
"Gateway to the South"

I am physically incapable of saying Balham without a) oversounding the 'h' and b) hearing 'Gateway to the South' after it.

To direct my attention back to the game, I propose an elaborate shuffle, to land at:

Great Portland Street

Do you have to be completely mad to play this game- or can anyone join in?:confused::D

I wouldn't say you needed to be completely mad... but you may find it an advantage.

If you fancy joining in I'll gladly gve you some pointers.

The Bromley-by-Bow - Balham - Great Portland Street progression is a straightforward introgressive Lambert's advance, as we all make use of Montague's Second Stationary Ruling to attempt to lure each other into leaving the Northern Line unguarded. The logical next move would be an interchange station on the Victoria line, which would force a double Henderson manoeuvre and so leave some interesting possibilities in Zone 2.

Over to you!

Well in that case I'm going to go South and get the passport at the ready with Victoria!

In musical parlance, that's called playing the title track.

which would force a double Henderson manoeuvre and so leave some interesting possibilities in Zone 2.

In that case, I'll play

Brixton

Still on the Victoria line, and double points for being in Zone 2 and a terminus.

@Maguari - your Picadilly Line is exposed!

:p

Hix

Of course you don't have to be completely mad, just . . .

BARKING :D

. . . which would be a winning move if we were playing Cryer's Variation on the third Tuesday in Lent. But of course, as all the players have already realised, it is not permissible after Hix played Brixton :(

Hix is in an opposite time zone so surely it only counts for half? Anyway I'll play safe and go with Cockfosters which I still pronounce Co-fosters cf the 1980s (70s?) port ad!
