Most Underrated Zoos

I have two: The Singapore zoo(including the river safari, night safari, and bird park) has an extremely diverse collection and has the worlds largest freshwater aquarium tank, and the Big Bear Alpine zoo which started as a rescue center for animals in California who could not be released but now holds Snow leopards and two different wolf packs.
I don't think Singapore is underrated or overlooked;). In fact, as a local, I would say it's a fair bit overrated. The exhibits for half the ungulates are pitifully undersized, the Amazon River Quest boat ride in the River Safari has some terribly small enclosures, and honestly, the collection has been rapidly downsizing.

P.s. can the Woodland Park Zoo please return Dr Luis Neves? Thank you:p

Five Sisters Zoo Park. It has a huge carnivore collection, with nine species of cat, two species of bear, four canids, and some more interesting species. It has a nice selection of monitors lizards; and a very cool, homemade feel. The place has survived a lot of financial turmoil for which I feel it should be congratulated. I feel that the space they have has been utilised quite well, with enclosures built in most everywhere, while still being decent for their inhabitants.

For all the rare animals there, and how relatively easy it is to visit from Edinburgh, I'm surprised it hasn't gotten much attention on the site.
