Mountain Pygmy-Possums in Captivity?

I keep looking around because they are my husband's favorite, but I can't find any in captivity other than the breeding population at Healesville Sanctuary in Australia. Even at that, I don't know if they're on show. Can anyone help me, or is this too much of a "fat chance"?

At least some of the ones at Healesville are on display, otherwise it's fat chance.

Interesting user name by the way.... what's the background?

Maybe someday I'll get to go to Healesville, but I'm far away so the chances are slim. :\ I hope so though!

I don't know about mountain pygmy-possums but if you want to see AND SMELL possums quite often come to San Gabriel in the Los Angeles, CA.

You're going to love it.

They are also on display at the Australian Reptile Park.

Are they? They weren't last time I was there, but then again that was over a year ago.

Which means it's probably time I headed back that way.

I visited a couple of days before Christmas, and I saw them in their new "Noctarium". They were much more active and visible than the one I saw at Healesville. See the current Australian Reptile Park news thread for info on the development.
