Transformers: Age of Extinction 5/10

This was a 2hr 45min slog that could have been condensed into 1hr 30mins. Michael Bay shouldn't try his hand at character development. And having a 16yr old for eye-candy just wasn't on. It's a big budget action flick with a senseless storyline and lots of explosions - rent the BluRay in a couple years when it gets demoted to the bargain bin.

next in the series: "Transformer Babies: rampage in the nursery"

Thanks for the review. Is Evangeline Lilly's ninja elf in this movie?

Also, do they go back to the framing sequence with Frodo and old Bilbo that started the series?

The Battle Of The Five Armies

I also saw the new Hobbit movie today, The Battle Of The Five Armies, and it was awesome with a capital O. When I saw the second of the trilogy last December I was a bit iffy about the amount of slapstick in it. This movie has none. None.

she is indeed in the movie, and the strained love-story between her and the dwarf continues.

The end of this movie ties in to the start of the first LOTR movie, so one can therefore watch all six movies in a row.

I quite liked her in LOST.

Lucy - 6/10

What a trippy Luc Besson movie! I liked the premise: assuming that we genuinely use 10% of our brains, what would we be capable of if we could access 100%? I think that when Scarlet Johanssen (Lucy) got to about 50%, the movie went off a precipice into total fantasy. And the ending, say what?? Anyway, it's worth a rental for the action.

Has anyone here watched the entirety of Vampires Suck? It was on tv last night and I managed about twenty minutes of it before I could take no more.

It is a spoof of Twilight, although the word spoof implies it would be amusing in some way which this one significantly fails at. It is a wonder any of the "jokes" in this mess even made it onto paper let alone all the way through to the final script. Amazingly, watching this movie made me wish I was watching the real Twilight instead!

Score: 0 out of 10

Entirety? Probably not. I have seen bits and pieces here and there on TV. I didn't really mind it, but I didn't think it was fantastic either. Not really my kind of flick but I'll watch it if there's nothing else on.
