Blue monkeys are a widespread, common species found throughout central and eastern Africa, Recently some of it's many subspecies were split off, including two found in Uganda, the golden and silver monkeys. Of course some do not accept these splits, looking at you, iNaturalist.
We encountered silver monkeys, Cercopithecus doggetti, on the drive between Buhoma and Ruhinga in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. First we saw a few individuals, then some larger groups and finally at one point overhanging trees formed a bridge over the road and we saw a parade of monkeys, firstly L’Hoest, then silver and finally a solitary black and white colobus, cross. There was a gap between the trees on either side, and they had to jump, which was quite spectacular to watch
