Ah I see, if I remember correctly, didn't that area used to hold Przewalskis wild horse? This may be a few years ago now, but I remember there used to be a little wooden building that you could view them from, pretty much where the cafe graze is now.
The Valley is already massive, with this extra space it should be amazing. It reminds me a bit of the african exhibit at Burgers Zoo in Arnhem, Holland. I would say Marwell's valley field is bigger (at least wider) but the Burgers Zoo one has a raised wooden walkway stretching along the whole length of the exhibit. Also this explains why they built the cafe where they did, because I previously thought that it doesnt give a great view of the valley, but when this new section is added, it definitely will.
