My project

Here's the layout and ice caves layout. It's not too detailed yet but you can at least get an idea of what it looks like. The path has a double path underneath it, they overlap on the map, but the ice caves version is underwater viewing, below the path

Have you watched Burgers' Zoo's video on why they don't have an arctic themed hall yet?
It's quite well explained!

Won't the foxes try to eat/attack the owls or the other way around?
It's an interesting combination nonetheless!

I have, and polar bears have always been off the list. And indeed natural lighting would be a problem, plus the fact that it wouldn't feel like it's very open, like the arctic regions usually are. But deserts are usually very open too, and yet burgers desert is closed in with rocks and you barely notice it. Maybe large, plastic plates would cover the sides, wit lamps behind it that let through enough light to make it natural (I'm not sure how else to explain it)

I don't really agree on you there. Burgers' Desert is fairly open actually.
Besides, this is what you get for results if you look for the Sonoran desert;

This doesn't seem as open to me as the arctic is.

Neither does antarctica, Antarctica.jpg

There's plenty of ice walls and mountains blocking your view. The stereotypical view is of the endless arctic desert, but the shore is actually pretty rocky

Is there a link to the video? I probably won’t understand it but I am curious

It's in Dutch and I don't think there's english subtitles. But the basic point is that they wan't to make it look at naturalistic as possible, and the flat open arctic desert is hard to make in a hallway or dome. Along with that, it's also difficult to maintain such a temperature when the sun is shining into it constantly (their other biodomes/hallways are made with see-through glass or plastic).
That's why I propose making it more similar to the first display in their ocean region, with arctic rocks and a fake sky behind it.

Here's the link anyways:

Was not that Bljdorp where the fox at least hurt or actually killed an owl and they needed to seperate them

I don't know, but the Arctic fox aviary in Blijdorp is quite low to the ground with little space for owls to sit in trees. This one will be way higher and have a lot of branches
