I can add Tasmiania Zoo! I was starting to build my list of other Wildlife Parks and founs this one had been upgraded!

When did you visit these?
August of 2006, best vacation of my life and it was my idea to go to Australia.
I worked as a swing keeper in the Texas Wild area. I worked with American Paint horses, a Longhorn, Boer goats, Hog, Longhorn calf, Armadillo, , Virginia Opossum, Corn snakes, White tailed deer, Turkey, Sandhill Crane, Black Bears, Red Wolves, American Alligator, River Otter, Cougar, Bobcat, Ocelot, Ringtails, Porcupine, Coyotes, Jaguars, and Coati.
Heres an interesting thought...in birdwatching the Holy Grail is to see 8000 species,as far as i know its only ever been acheived by two people.What about zoo visiting in a similar manner? Ive visited 539 zoos and aquariums around the world,Harry Schram onetime Director of EAZA told me that he had done the 1000,i would suggest that is the Holy Grail for zoochatters to aim for.I know quite a few people who have visits totalling into the hundreds so its not really realistic to type those lengthy lists out.
Hmm..the age-old problem of what constitutes a zoo, i would agree with Talli but i would also add that whatever it is should be open to the public.Ive visited some fantastic private collections best of which would be Al Wabra in Qatar where most of the worlds Spixs Macaws are kept [plus Beira,Flame Bowerbirds etc] and quite a few zoo breeding centres White Oaks,Moscows,Sharjah etc but dont count these in my total.

Flag Acre Zoo was shutdown by by New York State after a boy was attack by leopard at the Altamont fair in 2006(joined county fair of Albany and Schenectady counties) the boy jumped the fence and close enough to the cage the leopard scratch him. The zoo did not have insurance.

Have just been going through some old photos and found that I had missed a collection,off my list so have now added The Ottrer Trust at Bungay in Norfolk!Have also visited another 3 new collections which I have added in Red,and have visited another Private collections to bring that total up to 5.
