Naabi: Pampered Hyena Princess

Natural World on Wedensday 23rd of April at 8pm on BBC 2 is about Hyena's, an animal I have taken an interest in latley, so I can't wait to see the programme. I think Hyena's are a forgotten species when it comes to Zoo's and I hope this will change especially in the UK.

yes agree with that bongo, would love to see more hyena in British zoos.
With European zoos now breeding from the west African import a few years back, there maybe spotted hyenas available.
Prague zoo in the Czech republic have done well with brown hyena recently, would love to see them over here.

I think hyenas are a fascinating animal. Of all the zoos I went to, though, I've only seen them at Toronto and Buffalo Zoo in Buffalo, NY. I emailed Toronto a while back about breeding them and they said they had no success and probably won't because of their age (they're all old). I do remember seeing a cub years ago at Buffalo.
