Hi everyone, just thought you all would like to know these amazing species have arrived at the zoo. The fishing cats arrived yesterday from Port Lypmne and the mongeese arrived from berlin and are currently in rabies quarantine! The animal collection here is truely amazing!:)

Hi Al, I see you have gone for the less traditional plural:) I've seen this species in Berlin together with the ringtail mongoose which is also a beautiful animal.
Are they on show yet? I'm looking forward to my first visit to Newquay next month and hope to see them.

:) yes i thought it sounded better lol! They are off show currently for their quarantine so you will have to wait im afraid! But you won't be disapointed with the rest of the collection!

Thanks for the info, I need to visit here again, I thought the zoo was great :)

No way i cannot beleive they've got narrow striped mongoose! I love newquay zoo but can only usually visit once a year i went at easter and now i'm going to be really disspaointed if I can't get down there again.

anyway i wonder where they will be housed? possibly in the meerkat enclosure (ex raccoon) its big enough:D

narorw striped mongoose, paca, owstons palm civet and kinkajou are just some of the rarities here at this small but fantastic collection.

I can't say where they will be housed but it will be a very unique exhibit for the species! very exciting!

does anyone have a zoo map?
I give up how do you manage to turn every thread to have you got a map?Newquay gets narrow-striped Mongoose and all you can say is "does anyone have a zoo map",instead of thats brilliant news lets hope they start breeding them so we can see more of them in the U.K.

Cat-man, why don't you try looking for one on the zoos website?

This is good news about the mongoose, is it a 1.1 pair that have arrived?

Are all the animals in Europe related to the Berlin animals or is there another line?
