Sumatran Tiger Cub Update

The Sumatran tiger cubs are in fact a male and two females (1.2).

A naming competition is now underway:

Name options for the male cub:

Abu (Indonesian name meaning ash)
Bulan (Indonesian name meaning moon)
Hantu (Indonesian name meaning ghost)

These names were selected because their birth was so close to Halloween.

Name options for the female cubs:

Zara (Malaysian name meaning princess and radiant)
Zaheera (Malaysian name meaning brilliant and shining)
Kirana (Indonesian name meaning beautiful sunbeam)
Kalilla (Indonesian name meaning sweetheart)
Melati (Indonesian name meaning jasmine flower)

These names were selected for their reference to beauty and a bright hope for the future.
