Nasu animal kingdom

Just said it's nice, but could use a bit more improvements. I just feel like Tennoji's penguin habitat had set a new era of nicer penguin habitats for Japan.
Yes you only said nice but tying this to an era of good penguin habitats is odd. Not to mention we still do not know the indoor enclosure these animals will be kept in during the summer, which I hope still aren’t the tacky rooms with the less than knee-deep water. Therefore we cannot reach to a final conclusion yet.

From what I could tell, penguin enclosures in Japanese zoos and aquariums always had a fluctuating quality. Good and/or impressive penguin habitats have existed before Tennoji’s new enclosure. Examples that come to mind include Asahiyama, Toyohashi/Nonhoi Park, and Osaka Kaiyukan aquarium.

My bad sir, I always jump to things easily.

I am surprised I missed this news but Sato Tetsuya, the Director of both Nasu and Kobe animal Kingdom has passed on in March 6th due to heart failure.

Sato was also the vice chairman of JAZA’s conservation committee. This is a huge loss to the Japanese zoological community.

I would like to send my condolences to

So who's going to be the new director and head of management? Also I offer my condolences to his family and friends. He was such a great voice in the Japanese zoo community.

By the time I noticed my incomplete sentence it was too late but I would like to send my condolences to Sato’s loved ones.

I am also replying to this post because on a news report featuring Sato’s farewell ceremony, the report has revealed the new director of the kingdom parks: Hibashi Kazuaki. Prior to working for Nasu Animal Kingdom, Hibashi has worked as director of Saitama Children’s Zoo, Chikozan Children’s Zoo, Inokashira Park Zoo. He also has experience managing the international white-naped crane studbook. Before being appointed as the director of Nasu Animal Kingdom, Hibashi was responsible with education and outreach in the park.

The park welcomed 1.1 wolf pups. This is the first time the zoo has ever bred wolves.
Unfortunately the male pup has passed on in July 20. The exhibition of wolves has been closed until the condition of the female gets better.

The park had obtained 1.2 North American porcupines named Yamada (1.0), Sakura(0.1), and Kaede(0.1). The animals will get exhibited on Friday this week.

Looks like the North American porcupine population in Japan is stable again.
