Apparently the National Zoo went protected contact yesterday involving their elephant herd. Anybody heard anything further on this.
 
They were using blended contact last year so it would not surprise me. They were starting to bathe Ambika and Shanti in PC last July. As far as I know the ladies were adjusting well.
 
There young bull "Kandula" has been on PC since about 2006 as well, I am glad to hear they have decided to switch entirely to PC
