It is the first white tiger born in Cuba. The zoológico nacional has held white tigre before, i saw one there on my visit in 2013. The exhibit was with heavy netting and bars, so I did not take a photograph of it. If I remember well that tiger was from the Belgrade zoo in Serbia.

I do hope we get some more less frivolous news on Zoologico Nacional de Cuba.
I just wonder how the Namibian imports have done and particular the Higher conservation value species.

I read somewhere not too long ago that ZNC provided animal stock to another zoo in Cuba (one of the provincial capitals - I seem to remember this included kudu and a few other species).

Any news on recent births per chance?

I read they have 100 zebra, out of which 80 Grant's and the rest Grevy's zebra .... I just wondered 20.....

Second white rhino birth in Zoológico Nacional de Cuba from the animals imported from Namibia. The news article has nice photos and mentions that the zoológico nacional has now 8 white rhinos and 4 black rhinos.
