Native Mammals in Australian Zoos

Uncommon – Billabong Sanctuary, Currumbin Sanctuary, David Fleay Wildlife Park, Dreamworld, Oakvale Wildlife Park, Rainforestation Nature Park, Snakes Downunder, Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre, Wildlife Habitat, Wildlife HQ.
Not to be confused with Billabong Sanctuary in Townsville, Billabong Zoo in Port Macquarie has also acquired a Lumholtz's Tree-Kangaroo. This time, a female from Dreamworld has arrived: 登录 Facebook | Facebook

Does Taronga still have one or more Subantarctic fur seals?

I don’t believe so. They had a single male named Franklin (born late 2000’s), who would now be in his mid teens if still alive. He was last mentioned on their socials in 2016, so I’m assuming he’s died.

To my knowledge, Taronga Zoo just hold California sea lion, Australian sea lion and New Zealand fur seal with regards to pinnipeds. This is supported by two species lists by two members who visited in 2022.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary has received a male Lumholtz's Tree-Kangaroo from the Tree Roo Rescue. There are now about 12 holders with ten in Queensland and two in New South Wales: Log into Facebook | Facebook

Doesn't Healsville have Water Rats? I could have sworn more zoos than that house Water Rats.

Some updates from a recent visit to Lone Pine and inventory lists published by Zoos Victoria:
  • Northern Brown Bandicoot and Spectacled Flying-Fox now at Lone Pine.
  • the Long-footed Potoroo at Healesville quickly died after its arrival - sometime before June 2022.
  • no more Eastern Barred Bandicoots at any Zoos Victoria properties.
  • a male Smoky Mouse arrived at Healesville recently.

I went to Healsville today. They have a Smoky Mouse. I'm also a bit confused whether they have Rakali or not. It said on the signs there were Rakali and I asked several people there and got different answers. Some of the staff said they don't have any, some said they do have some. Wikipedia lists that they have Rakali and I read an article about them having a captive population of Rakali.
